UGC NET Law
The University Grant Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test (NET) for Law students is conducted after completing of LLM although Last Year LLM students can also apply for UGC NET Law exam. This exam is conducted twice a year. This exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for the students who are interested in academic career like Assistant Professor, Law Researcher, and other similar positions.

Pattern of UGC NET Law Exam
UGC NET Law exam will be conducted in Computer based MCQs pattern by NTA twice a year. This exam will be divided into two part.
- General Exam
- Subject Specific Exam (Law)
General Exam Consists of total 50 questions of general topics which consists of Teaching Amptitude, Research Amplitude, Computer, Math and reasoning, Qualitative Amplitude, English, Higher Education and Administration, Logical Reasoning, Environment Protection. On the other hand Paper 2 consists of Law subjects whose syllabus will be provided in this article. Paper two will be of 100 Question. Combined paper 1 and paper 2 there will be 150 question each carrying 2 marks. So total UGC NET Law paper will be of 300 marks with no negative Marking. Duration of the Exam (Paper 1 + Paper 2) will be of 3 Hours.
UGC NET Law Eligibility
Age Limit
Candidate who wants to apply for the post of Assistant Professor along with JRF must have below the maximum age of 31 years. But if you are applying for the Post of Assistant Professor Eligibility and not for JRF then there is no specific age limit mentioned for it.
Nationality
The person applying for UGC NET Law exam must be a Indian Citizen. How ever Citizenship can be by birth or acquired by legal means.
Education Qualification (Law)
1. The Candidate who have applied or want to apply for UGC NET Law exam must have passed the LLM (Post Graduation in Law)
2. How ever the last year LLM students can also apply for the UGC NET Law exam but must cleared the LLM exam in the same year.
3. Minimum requirments of marks for general are 55% and for reserved catagries 50% in LLM.

UGC NET Law conducted by NTA has announced the dates for the Exam of UGC NET Law 2023. The Exam will be scheduled to be conducted between 13th to 22nd June 2023. The Exam will be conducted twice a year.
